I went for Sonny's last walk in life on Saturday. Not many turned up but those who were close to him did. After the cremation, I had lunch with Alan, who flew back from Melbourne, Veronica, Kenneth, Gary & Raymond. We were just remembering Sonny's idiosyncracies & always funny behaviour antics. Catching up with lost time I guess.
Truth be told, it is still kind of surreal. Is denial of his death is one of the steps of acceptance?
One thing I realise through his death is his family got stronger & my friendship with many friends were rekindled. Friends I have not met since graduation were there to walk with him too. Morbidity aside, a beautiful thing happen through a sad thing
We all have to move on. The memories I had with him will stay with me throughout my life.
Sonny, I know you are shining down from heaven with the Lord. I know that you have found the happiness you always wanted. We will miss you my dear friend...
