Reminiscence

Last night I had a small dinner with my secondary school mates of whom I had not seen them since we graduated from school

Dinner was done @ Fish & Co @ Paragon as it was pretty convenient for a friend who was working @ a rather 'chi chi' boutique. It started off with rather cliche & of course polite greetings & questions like ' How are you? Where are you working now? OMG, Serious, No Way!!" Things really picked up while we were waiting for our food & drinks. The bitchiness & over the top laughter were of course had mellowed over the years but we still packed a few witty bitchy liners like we used to.

We drove down to PS Cafe @ Dempsey Road for drinks after dinner. The ambience was good. Our interesting conversations continue over there. We were like a bunch of over-excited teenagers of then, getting excited over root beer floats & a whole list of desserts of diabetic proportions but of course due to our current fitness levels & growing waistline, we skipped dessert & stuck to drinks instead.

Reminiscence was pretty much made the agenda the night. To be honest, we have not changed much. The nonchalant attitude, opinionated thinking, nonsense spouting & chronic anarchic streaks had stuck with us through these years.

Last night's event had got me thinking though about friendships. Some prefer to meet up every week or on a regularly basis that goes on for years till present. Some held on to grudges & dis-contentment just faded away making parts of memories in our lifes. A relationship interwined by the hands of the Almighty which many of us take for granted.
