Like wow... I have not been blogging since October last year. Hmm... what to blog about?

Well I should start off by saying goodbye 2010. 2010 was a challenging year for me. It was a year that I switched jobs ( not that I want to ) the most. Left a company with great colleagues except of my ex-manager. Then join another company is the same industry. Being infamously well know in the industry, I had to take it up coz of monetary reasons and it was not that fantastic of a pay either. Due to POLITICS, had to leave the company. Was unemployed for 1.5 months before I found one. Stayed for about 1.5 months cause I was offered a better one. Now I am stil with the current company and I am so loving this position

As I look back, I am still trying to find out what the root cause of all this? Is it me? Is it the job? Is is the people I had to work with? Till now, no answer.

It's been a long while since I posted something in my blog. Well I cannot say that I have been busy not to do so. I just took time to reflect.

As many may not know, I have left my job. Before you go "Not again Alvin" I stand to my defence that is the last thing I would like to do at this point of time. I do agree that the job market is getting better. However I would have prefer finding a job of my preference while holding down to this job. Unfortunately, things did not work out and it was definately NOT my professionalism was in question.

I knew that this was a mistake. Many of my colleagues did warned me. I guess the obligation of a payer of debts cannot really afford not to work made me chose this path. Now the truth has happen and I am now jobless. At times I feel like dosing myself in kerosene and set myself ablaze. At times I blame myself for all the things that had happen to me. At time I feel this is a godly sign. A sign from the BOSS above punishing me.

However I DO NOT regret leaving. I would like to blacklist them in a forum but DAMNED if I do. I have a phrase for them " What goes around comes around ". Mark my words!

Sometimes I wonder lf life is all about fallin down instead of rising up? Or is it boils down to contentment? Sometimes certain things cannot be rush?

It has been a while since a proper entry was made... Many thoughts have been running through my mind but I am unable to put down in words. I would not call it a writer's block. It is just a series of emotions, thoughts, decisions, all coming at the same time that your brain is unable to decipher and process quickly. No wonder I feel daze at times whenever I am alone.

2010 ain't that fantastic so far. Was a victim of office consipracy and was ask to leave. Joined a company whose infamy spread far and wide in the industry. Everyday I ask myself " Why is this happening? Is it a sign of sorts? If it is, boy it sure ain't a good one! " There is sense of disheartenment I don't seem to overcome easily and it is giving me problems with sleep... Argh..

I really hope things will turn out better as the days pass... I am really getting real tired with the transitions. Transitions are good but I need good transitions not dramatized ones!

However under all these, something good happen.. I am attending cell group aka bible sharing at church. YES YES!! I am equally shocked myself. I shunned such activities like a plague. Though I approached this with a narrow mind, I must admit I was wrong. Young adults of today view on faith surpassed my intial thoughts. For that I am impressed though there are some zealous ones.. HAHA

I have so much to blog about but my eyes say STOP!! To be continued...

By the way... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!! Glad to be alive ... :)

I went to see a doctor today as was experiencing some dizzy spells. Got out of the doc's room with high blood pressure, stress and mild depression. It took me my surprise that these symptoms had not occurred to me in anyway. Not a sign. Msn Brian on this. Was surprised too.

2 phrases have been playing in my mind which came from both the doc and Brian. "Talk to your friends more often" and "Why stress yourself". It hit me kind of hard as I was mentioned this to a taxi driver over the weekend bout the life of a Singaporean. I said out LOUD "Uncle, I feel stress is self inflicted". There you have it. Think just got slap ob the face hard.

I did a self evaluation on my way home from office. I though that all seemed well. I mean yeah most of go thru certain phases in life which I may have brushed aside many times ... way too many times. Suppression to the maximum. A test to my level of patience and endurance. I do agree I am in difficult times on a personal level but I always thought to always have this notion "You screwed it up yourself you solve it" Well I stand by it. Is it wrong? Should I talk to it with my friends? I don't see a need to. Can they help? Well I don't think so. It's my problem not theirs.

Cynicism and harsh realism had gotten me into this state? Or it's "you reap what you sow"?

Doc gave me Lexotan, a relaxant, to make me sleep well. It's been 2 hours I don't even feel the effect. Screw it .... maybe I am getting screwed in the head

Oh Boy .... June is coming to an end and I seriously do not have any fucking idea what I have achieve so far.

On a brighter note, I got a job after 6 months since I left my previous job. The strangest thing is I join back the same company that I left after gotten myslef another job prior to the current one. Talk about full circle...

I beginning to wonder should I continue to evaluate and plan what holds in the coming 6 months or should I just maintain and approach that 'go with the flow' mentality. Maybe I should .. at least any disappointments along the way are handled easier.

I also just realise that I have no idea what I have blabbered earlier ...

It's been a rather ok start for the month of March. Started working at a moving company which is another competitor of my previous company. It's also a good sign that my phone starts to ring on opportunities amidst these gloomy times.

My relatives from my dad side visited us last night for dinner. Interesting to sit at a table with individualistic taste in food and cooking styles. What spices to addd, what to eat, what not to eat, how it should be eaten, how it should be cooked. A whole exchange of ideas which is more interesting and entertaining than the Taiwan parliament I should say. I also realise that my inner roots on Teochew speaking is taking off. I ACTUALLY able to speak it.

School holidays are apporoaching and it's a damn good reason NOT to head to town or clubs which will be filled with KIDS KIDS KIDS. Bunch of unrealistic bunch of sheltered and pampered children!!

There end my rantings for the day week month .... Till there are more to do so!!

I am not taking it literally with title above ( all hail The Smashing Pumpkins for this song ) for this entry. I would say more like an end to a bad patch and stepping onto a good patch.

As you all know, I had not been working since September 2008 and with the financial crisis hitting our shores I have not been doing well in many ways.

It's kind of weird coming back to my secondary school after so long as I swore that I will not come back to this crappy place ( teenage angst then ). I would like to say I am bless that this same place had helped me through this bad times. Is it a sign of forgiveness?

Anyway it has been a rather interesting journey here. I have also realise that teachers are not as passionate as before. But then again it's just a JOB. I also realise that some teachers are somehow IDIOTIC and QUIRKY and UNSAVVY with technology. ( yes they do not how to use a fax machine!! ). The saving grace is that my teachers of yesteryears had become friends and bestowed with flattery to be mistaken as an intern by students ( thank you SKII ).

I have to go now as I am blogging from office.

This is the day where most of us take a step back & look back the things that happen to them throughout this year. Be it happy or sad it's been hell of a ride I must say.

Students will be able to say 'Yes I worked hard and did well' or 'No I didn't but I going to work harder next year'. Adults will be more concern on their rice bowl as we were hit by an economic crisis at the 4rd quarter of 2008. Worrying day by day whether they are able to hold on to their jobs for another day.

I am in such a category but I looking at it at a more holistic approach. I have taken this break to evaluate and find out what I want in my next job. I realise I had been working for the sake of working. Pay the bills, shopping, having a ifestyle. However don't we all .... On a personal level I am glad I survived another year.

Nevertheless, let's savour the good times we had this year. As for the bad times, well JUST FUCK IT!!!
